Mykola Rudyk, the legendary hero of the Maidan, an athlete, a silver prizewinner of the world championship on the cross, a multiple winner of international marathons ran ten miles ahead of the column with the flag of Ukraine.

Students and teachers of Vinnytsia National Technical University initiated a patriotic bike ride “With Ukraine in the Heart”, in which more than 200 participants were involved, to the International Youth Solidarity Day in the struggle against colonialism and for the peaceful existence.

During the bike ride the participants honored heroes of the Russian-Ukrainian war and the Maidan, laid flowers to 8 Memorial plates and memorials to deceased soldiers of the ATO-JFO and heroes of the “Heavenly Hundred”.

In such a patriotic format, bike ride has taken place for the first time.

It is intended to unite the youth of Vinnytsia to fight for their rights ─ to live in a peaceful, independent, and free Ukraine, against colonialism, for the victory over the Russian invaders.

Today there are a large number of those who took up arms and began to defend their motherland among students, graduates and teachers of educational institutions. They are heroes; they put their lives for Ukraine.

But heroes don't die as long as the living memory of them. Therefore, our primary task today both for young people and for the entire state is the struggle with the invaders — the Russian Federation.

The bike ride participants were also on rollers and children with their parents.

The active participants of the cycle race were students of Podillia scientific and technical Lyceum for talented youth.

Participants of the Maidan, participants in hostilities of the war against the invaders, the deputies of the city and of the Supreme Council, the leadership of universities and directors of schools, volunteers, activists of Vinnytsia region, the Ukrainian Cossacks joined the cycling race.

We thank the cycling club “Pirates” and Vinnytsia patrol police for the safe and professional bicycle ride.

Such evets will definitely become traditional for Vinnytsia to honor all the fallen heroes.
