Rational consumption of fuel and energy resources is relevant for the development of our country because the efficiency of their use is a prerequisite for the growth of the technical potential of the industrial production and the competitiveness of products, therefore, it will become a prerequisite for strengthening the international position of Ukraine.
The inefficient use of fuel and energy resources, the inefficient use of energy sources, and the lack of the ability to replace supply sources are also a problem that requires urgent solutions. Increasing energy prices, reducing hydrocarbon reserves, and causing significant environmental damage require detailed studying and finding opportunities to address them.
There were two stages of the competition.
At the first stage, the competition committee selected 6 works (projects) out of 7 that most exposed the problems of “Power Saving”.
At the second stage, the designers of these projects defended them making a speech and a presentation.
The competition committee:
Serhii Pavlov, the vice-rector for scientific work of VNTU, doctor of technical sciences, professor;
Viktor Diadkovych, a freelance expert of the department of foreign economic relations of Vinnytsia Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
Volodymyr Bohachuk, the head of the research department of VNTU, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor;
Leonid Koval, a scientific curator of VNTU NTSA, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor;
Oleh Sydoruk, an honorary member of VNTU NTSA, a former head of the VNTU NTSA, a post-graduate student.
The I degree diploma was awarded to Dmytro Kudriavtsev and Anastasiia Chernysh, students of the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Engineering, for the project “DEVELOPMENT OF THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT TO MANAGE AND CONTROL POWER COSTS”.
The II degree diploma was awarded to Dmytro Yarovyi, a student of the Faculty of Infocommunications, Radioelectronics and Nanosystems, for the project “AUTOMOTIVE POWER SAVING COMPLEX FOR ELECTRICAL AND HEAT POWER ACCUMULATING AND SUPPLYING”.
The III degree diploma was awarded to Svitlana Zuziak, Marianna Postolatii and Vitalii Kolisnichenko, students of the Faculty of Construction, Heat and Power Engineering, for the project “IMPROVEMENT OF POWER SUPPLY TO CITY BUILDINGS BY INTRODUCING POWER AUTONOMOUS”.
Diplomas for participation in the contest and T-shirts with the emblems of VNTU and NTSA were awarded to students:
- Veronika Novoseltseva and Maryna Varushechkina (the Institute of Environmental Safety and Environmental Monitoring) for the project “RESOURCES AND POWER SAVING AT THE “VINNYTSIA OIL AND TALLOW PLANT”;
- Alona Pradivliana (the Institute of Environmental Safety and Environmental Monitoring) for the project “RESOURCES AND POWER SAVING AT THE “VINNYTSIATELPLOENERGO”;
- Artem Maliushko and Kseniia Kovalenko (the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Transport) for the project “AUTOMATIC POWER SAVING HEATING WITH SOLID FUEL BOILERS”.
All the winners were awarded with certificates of honor, cash prizes and emblematic T-shirts. They were awarded by Vice-Rector for scientific work, Professor Serhii Pavlov.
