XLIII scientific-technical conference of the faculty, staff and students of the VNTU with the participation of research organizations and engineering and technical personnel of enterprises in Vinnitsa region confined to the 200th anniversary of the world famous ukrainian poet and writer Taras Shevchenko
Today, on March 9th - is 200 years since the birth of Taras Shevchenko.
The anniversary of the poet has symbolically joined with a turning point in the history of Ukraine. The significant date now is being celebrated not only by Ukrainian, but also by the world community. Google has placed on the search page a doodle with Taras Shevchenko. (Doodle — a logo of Google, which is done in honor of various significant events and holidays).
Dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of poet the XLIII Scientific Conference of the faculty, staff and students of the VNTU with the participation of research organizations and engineering and technical personnel of enterprises in Vinnitsa region.
The traditional university academic performance will be held as usual in two stages. The first one was already held on the 5-7th of March and where worked the sections of humanities and basic sciences. On March 12-14th is a turn of sections for general engineering and technical sciences.
The conference involved all 8 educational and research institutions of the university and also the Institute of Humanities and educational problems, the Institute for Training and Production Integration, and the Main center of educational work.
At the plenary session of the first - humanitarian phase of the conference, among other issues was discussed the Shevchenkosofistics in terms of poetry (the floor was given to a member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine, Professor Michael Strelbitskiy), also was discussed the Christian ethics and limits of modern liberty (the speaker - Ph.D., Professor Oleg Khoma).
In discussing humanitarian issues today, as well as each year, took part more than five hundred students of the university. Interestingly, not only those who have to present their speeches, but also those who are simply concerned about such issues and have desire to discuss them.
In the exhibition hall of the Cultural Center of the university was traditionally organized an art exhibition of student's art work before opening of the conference. This year the amateur works were presented by the faculty and staff too. The exhibition is not displaying only the pleasing variety of different genres, but expresses the national unity and proud along with optimism.
The conference consists of 55 sections. In general it will be delivered over 1,000 presentations. Among them, two-thirds by the students. It should be noted that many students take part in both humanitarian and technical sessions of the conference.
As for the number of participating students in the scientific forum, the total number is more than a thousand and a half.
March 17th - summing up by the conference organizing committees, reports by heads of institutions, the development and adoption of recommendations (room #210 in the MEB at 3p.m.). The final statistics will be published there.
Following the results of work is being prepared an electronic scholarly edition of the conference.
