On Earth Day in Vinnytsia National Technical University was held a first Round of the International Competition of the best works of environmental monitoring of Ukraine among pupils, students and young scientists
Competition is one of the activities of the First All-Ukrainian Youth Congress of the ecologists with international participation. These competitions among young people who care about the environment of the state, are held at the initiative of the Vinnytsia National Technical University already for the fourth time.
More than 100 participants from 12 regions of Ukraine submitted 61 jobs to participate in the qualifying round of the competition (the list is published on the site http://ecomon.vntu.edu.ua/list.php)
A jury made up of more than 30 experts from Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Mykolayiv, Kherson, Donetsk, thoroughly and impartially via the Internet at the web-system of competition have analyzed ecoworks of youth, has committed to the first round 36 best papers.
Contestants competed in categories:
- "Best Content";
- "The most comprehensive survey";
- "The best computer realization."
And in three age groups - pupils, college students and young scientists.
The authors are from Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Kherson, Sumy, Cherkasy and Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv regions and Crimea. Among the participants are 4th-grade pupils from the village Dmytrivka of Kahovsk district from the Kherson region, three candiadates of science from Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Sumy and three foreign students from Ecuador and Turkmenistan.
Looking at the situation in the country, the contest rules allow to provide a remote participation - a report can be made in a webinar mode. This advantage used some young environmentalists from the south and east of Ukraine.
Competing for the exit in the second round, the contestants presented their works and were answering questions from the jury, confirming that they well understand the problem. It was possible to watch the action to anyone who wishes - it took place a live webcast.
The jury put the highest marks to practical applicability of developed works. And this is the test which successfully passed 21 authors of the project.
Winners and participants received prizes from Vinnytsia sponsors the Ltd. "VIN Interactive", "Inter-Eco" and "GISINFO" - color printers with integrated copier and scanner, portable chargers that are solar-powered, USB drives and more.
All winners have the right to participate in the second round of the competition which will be held May 22 in Zhytomyr National Agroecological University. They compete by preparing a work on the subject proposed by the organizing committee. And the determining factor will be already a scientific innovation. Diplomas for winners of the second round will sign the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine.
To the participants of the closing event is suggested to present an article that will be released later in the Proceedings of the First All-Ukrainian Congress of Youth ecologists with international participation.
