The agreement on increased cooperation was signed by Volodymyr Hrabko, Rector of Vinnytsia National Technical University during his visit to the most northern European country and Pål Pedersen, Rector of the University of Nordland
The agreement was signed at the Conference “Norwegian-Ukrainian cooperation in education and business” in Bodø on December 9.
In addition to VNTU the Conference was attended by other 11 Ukrainian universities. The Ukrainian delegation negotiated on further cooperation in the field of education between Norway and Ukraine.
Professor Yurii Buriennikov, Director of the Institute of Machine Building and Transport of VNTU also represented our university at the Conference in Norway.
Vinnitsa National Technical University is a partner of the project “UKRAINE –NORWAY” in Ukraine, which is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway.
For several years the Institute of Machine Building and Transport of VNTU has successfully been participating in professional retraining and social adaptation of military men of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the project “Ukraine – Norway”.
This fact was decisive to hold the International Round Table on the project “Ukraine – Norway” in our university in October this year.
VNTU has proposed a number of joint actions for the development of the project “Ukraine – Norway” on social adaptation of retired military men of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other security forces, for the development of cooperation between educational institutions of Ukraine and Norway.
“Now Ukraine has a great need for expansion of cooperation in the field of education. Such a partnership is also very valuable for the University community in Bodø,” said Pål Pedersen.
