The developments of VNTU scientists have won the first place in the regional competition of educational innovative projects for the ninth consecutive year. This year the projects of professors Oleksii Azarov and Volodymyr Kozhemiako have won
The contest of educational innovative projects is organized and financially supported by Vinnytsia Regional State Administration and Regional Council. It has been held according to the Program of development of information, telecommunication and innovative technologies in educational institutions of Vinnytsia region by 2015.
The project “Information technology of practical mastery of hardware disciplines of computer field in higher education institutions of III-IV levels of accreditation” has won the first prize and a grant for UAH 35,000. The project supervisor is Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Oleksii Azarov, the dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Computer Engineering.
This is the third project led by Professor Azarov that has won regional competition of educational innovative projects. The previous successes were achieved in 2006 and 2013.
In 2006 the project of Professor Azarov got the second place in the contest and the first one was won by the project of VNTU Professor Volodymyr Kozhemiako. This year new developments of these scholars have changed places on the podium.
So, this year's second place and a grant for UAH 20,000 has been won by the project “Development and creation of ultramodern energy saving lighting devices based on the optical system of solar energy transmission at a distance with fiber-optical communication lines (FOCL) and fiber-optical cables (FOC)”. The project supervisor is Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Kozhemiako, the head of the Department of Laser and Optoelectronic Technology.
This is also the third victory by Professor Kozhemiako’s projects in the regional competition of educational innovative projects. His developments gained the most valuable certificates in 2006 and 2009.
The winners were welcomed in the Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater named after Sadovskyi.
