Five teams of students of the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Engineering of VNTU took part in the final of the IV All-Ukrainian contest of startups “SikorskyChallenge 2015”
On October 12-16, the final of the IV All-Ukrainian contest of startups “SikorskyChallenge 2015” was held at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
Five teams of students of the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Engineering of VNTU took part in the final. The contest was participated by professionals in the field of engineering and design, graduate students, scientists, teachers (candidates and doctors of Technical Sciences), who have innovative ideas and projects, entrepreneurs and startups. So it was not easy for our students to compete in this contest.
All of our students successfully participated. They presented their reports in Ukrainian and English. All projects of VNTU students were awarded among the best, interested sponsors and the students got interesting proposals to cooperate with leading IT companies.
In particular, Pavlo Stavytskyi received an invitation from the contest jury to present his project on two popular international contests of innovative projects Getinthe Ring and 1776 Challenge Cup (regional stage of which is held in London (UK) and the global final in Washington (USA)).
The project “Firebutton” by Oleksandr Honcharuk, Andrii Honcharuk, Anton Cherednikov and Vlad Osipenko, the 4th year students of the direction of training “Software Engineering” (a team coach is Associate Professor of the Software Department Viktoriia Voitko) was recognized as the winner in the nomination “The best business idea”.
Dmytro Kryvyi received a gift certificate for 20 000 UAH.
