Companies Intel, IBM, and Cisco Systems have already been interested in EcoCitizens project, whose participants are the students of VNTU Oleh Sydoruk, Andrii Shevchuk and Andrii Lavrov
On September 16, the participants of the First National Contest of IT-projects on e-democracy Egap Challenge were awarded at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The competition is one of the initiatives of the program “Electronic government for the accountability of authorities and participation of society”, which is implemented by the Foundation “Eastern Europe”, “Innovabridge”, State Agency on e-Government, and partners with the support of the Swiss Confederation.
EcoCitizens project, whose participants are the students of VNTU Oleh Sydoruk (Faculty of Computer Automation Systems), Andrii Shevchuk (Faculty of Computer Automation Systems) and Andrii Lavrov (Faculty of Management), as well as Maksym Ursan (Vinnytsia College of National University of Food Technologies), Yevhen Vasylenko (a public activist from Kyiv), Maksym Babakin (an engineer from Zaporizhzhia), took the second place and received the prize with payment of 200 thousand UAH.
The eco-project offers to create a system of mass on-line monitoring of the environment.
The key to mass is cheap monitoring devices that will be collected on the base of Arduino processor platform — today’s quite popular solution for producing simple systems of automatics and robotics.
