On December 2, a graduate of VNTU, Deputy of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine, acting Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on fuel and energy sector, nuclear policy and nuclear safety Oleksandr Dombrovskyi met with students and teachers of the University
Kyiv experts in the field of power engineering who came to the meeting with VNTU students discussed the reforms on the electricity market in Ukraine.
“It's nice to be in alma mater. Rector of VNTU Volodymyr Hrabko and I graduated from Vinnytsia Polytechnic Institute almost at the same time. This institution provides qualitative knowledge, his students are able to cope with serious challenges,” said Oleksandr Dombrovskyi.
Chairman of the Wholesale Electricity Market of Ukraine Kostiantyn Zapaishchykov said:
“I am a graduate of Vinnytsia Polytechnic Institute, too. My group was 1C-82.”
President of the Ukrainian Nuclear Society Hryhorii Muliar said that the National Nuclear Energy Generating Company “Energoatom” (an operator of all operating nuclear power plants in Ukraine) is interested in enhancing cooperation with VNTU very much as the University is training a high-quality personnel for the industry.
Hryhorii Muliar promised that soon students of the Faculty of Power Engineering of VNTU will go to the Czech Republic in order to familiarize there with the features of functioning the Czech nuclear industry, will also visit Czech Technical University.
“Students and teachers are called for active cooperation. I’m ready to meet at the departments, to introduce you to investors.
The Rector of VNTU and I have recently met with the Ambassador of China in Ukraine. The Ambassador of China handed me the phone ─ the latest model of Huawei. We decided that it would be a prize for a student of VNTU ─ the best inventor in 2016,” a graduate of VNTU, Deputy of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Dombrovskyi concluded the meeting on such a positive note.
