THIRTY-TWO ATO PARTICIPANTS AND FORMER MILITARY OFFICERS RECEIVE INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMAS IN CIVIL SPECIALTY

On May 12 the celebrations on the occasion of graduating from the retraining courses by retired military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their families according to the project “UKRAINE-NORWAY” of the International Fund for Social Adaptation were held at Vinnytsia National Technical University

Each student received international diplomas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of Norway as well as a joint diploma the University NORD (Bodø, Norway) and VNTU.

 

Diplomas were presented to the project participants by the Rector of VNTU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Hrabko and President of the international charitable foundation for social adaptation Volodymyr Rubtsov.

 

It is IFSA that takes care of the international project “UKRAINE-NORWAY” funded by the Kingdom of Norway. This project is the biggest Ukrainian-Norwegian project. This year it has been renewed again for 5 years.

 

Students of the project acquired knowledge in the field of market economy, information technology, e-commerce, English.

 

Handing over the diplomas the Rector of VNTU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Hrabko said, “Ukraine needs qualified personnel, especially engineers with modern knowledge. The international company UBC Group as well as a new large enterprise Green Cool manufacturing refrigeration equipment need 450 engineers in the specialties provided by VNTU. In total, 1200 vacancies have been opened. You are now also graduates of VNTU and have a chance to get a job there.”

 

Currently 16 Ukrainian universities are the participants of the project “UKRAINE-NORWAY” funded by the Kingdom of Norway. So far 8387 Ukrainian servicemen and their families have been trained and received a new degree.

 

The next stage of the joint project will begin at VNTU in October 2017.

 

Students of the retraining courses may be a person who participated in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO), demobilized and retired from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the State Special Transport Service, the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations and those who are subjected to retiring this year the person as well as the members of their families.
