On June 9, the first graduating from the Startup school “Sikorsky Challenge” of Vinnytsia was held at Vinnytsia National Technical University
Rector of VNTU Volodymyr Hrabko congratulated the graduates:
“The development and support of the start-up movement is an integral component of an innovative education. That is why this year our University is going to start a new course at the Startup School, which has already become one of the business cards of Vinnytsia National Technical University.”
Volodymyr Romanenko, Director of Information Technologies Department of Vinnytsia City Council thanked the graduates for their creativity and assured them that the city authorities would fully support innovative projects and solutions of young people aimed at improving life in Vinnytsia.
Classes at the Startup School were taught under the guidance of a well-known specialist, business coach Ihor Peer and other experienced specialists. Students of the school met with the leaders of successful Vinnytsia startups, as well as were acquainted with presentations of the best innovative experience of leading technological and IT companies.
Kostiantyn Koval, Head of the Startup School says:
“This year 75 participants, among which were students from various universities, professors and young entrepreneurs, have been selected to study. Therefore, 19 startups ready to implement the projects were formed.”
Vinnytsya Startup School works with the assistance of Vinnytsia Region State Administration and Vinnytsia City Council and in close cooperation with the Startup School of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Ihor Sikorskyi”.
Training at the School was with the support of socially responsible business representatives – companies “Spilna Sprava”, “Exadel”, “WinInteractive”, “Delphi”, “Connex”, “Transfotech”, “KVARK”, “Epam”, “IncoreSoft”, “GemicleInc”, “VTN”, “Astound Commerce”, “Daytex Technolzhis”.
The winners of the first graduating from the Startup school “Sikorsky Challenge” of Vinnytsia:
1 place – SmartWindows project presented by Oleksandr Poltorak. The idea of the startup is an smart window cleaning system. The system allows to save money, time and effort that requires window cleaning, especially on skyscrapers.
2nd place – HotWall project presented by Dmytro Bezruchenko. It is an original design of a high-efficient ceramic heater.
3rd place – High-Tech.Code project presented by Oleh Ovcharenko. It is an original system of corporate discounts in the form of a mobile application, which allows people to save on purchases.
Ihor Peer said:
“We have all succeeded! I am convinced that today's projects will soon become real companies with real products and customers.”
A new Startup School course at Vinnytsia National Technical University will begin in the new academic year.
