VNTU STUDENTS STUDY AND COMPETE AT THE NUCLEAR SCHOOL AT ZAPORIZHZHIA NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

Student of specialty 141 Electrical power engineering, electrical engineering and electromechanics of Vinnytsia National Technical University Vladyslav Lysyi received a tablet PC from “National Nuclear Energy Generating Company of Ukraine “Energoatom”

On July 2 -14, Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant held the VI summer nuclear school “Youth and the Future of Nuclear Energy”.

 

The School was attended by the most promising students and professors of specialized universities of Ukraine and the Czech Republic.

 

VNTU team consisted of third-year student Vladyslav Lysyi, fourth-year students Serhii Boiko, Hanna Shkulepa and Andrii Matvieiev,  and fifth-year student Andrii Melnychuk, as well as lecturers of the Department of electric power stations and systems — Candidates of Technical Sciences, associate professors Oleksandr Rubanenko, Vira Teptia and Assistant Yurii Pivniuk.

 

General Director of Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant Oleksandr Ostapovets said:

 

Students had the opportunity to test their knowledge on the training equipment of ZNPP, which to the smallest details is exact copy of the existing equipment of the station, to communicate with the leading specialists of ZNPP and with each other.

 

"Each year the Summer nuclear school going on at another nuclear power plant. Last year, for example, we were at the Pìvdennoukraïnskìj nuclear power plant. — Tells the candidate of technical sciences, Professor Alexander Rubanenko. Is this project zorganìzovuût NAEC is a State Enterprise national nuclear energy generating company "Energoatom" and the Ukrainian nuclear society. And are intended to attract najosvìčenìšu youth to work at Ukrainian NPPs. As well as revitalize the knowledge sharing between experienced professionals and ûnnû. While studying at the School, students not only have acquired new knowledge and familiarize yourself with the technical base of enterprise, but also a wonderful rest and rozvažilis.
