Eight projects of the winners of the competition will build the potential of Ukrainian universities according to the EU ERASMUS + program “Development of the potential of higher education since 2017”
Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EASEA) announced the results of 2017 competition in the area “Development of the potential of higher education” according to the European Union ERASMUS + program to support reforms in higher education.
In general, there were selected and recommended for funding 149 projects including 8 projects with the participation of Ukraine, the total cost of which is about 7.5 million euros with the participation of 41 Ukrainian organizations.
Eight projects with participation of Ukraine will be implemented by 30 Ukrainian higher educational institutions and will receive funding from the European Union for the implementation of one structural project, two national and two regional ones (within the framework of the Eastern partnership) and some other joint and multinational projects.
The projects are concentrated on the modernization of educational programs in the field of agro-industry, logistics, ecology, management and technology, bioengineering, as well as on ensuring the quality of higher education, the introduction of modern learning and teaching methods, the development of cooperation between universities, business and the State, the creation of innovation centers, etc., on the basis of experience exchange with members and partners of the program Erasmus+.
Vinnytsia National Technical University is a winner from Ukraine among the partnership projects:
─ Innovative Multidisciplinary Curriculum in Artificial Implants for Bio-Engineering BSc/MSc Degrees (586114-EPP-1-2017-1-ES-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) with Donbas State Engineering Academy, Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Pryazovskyi State Technical University, Vinnytsia National Technical University, Zaporizhzhia National Technical University .
Reference: The Capacity Building of Higher Education (CBHE) is a separate component of the international dimension of the program Erasmus+, under which the European Union provides support for reforms in the field of higher education. In the period from 2014 to 2017 Ukraine presented 355 projects for the Erasmus+ program “Development of the potential of higher education”, 24 project being selected for funding. 68 higher educational institutions of Ukraine are partners of such projects, 1 is the grant beneficiary coordinator. The amount of the European Union grant for the project partnerships is more than € 15 million.
