Svitlana Bevz, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Assistant Professor of the Department of Electrical Plants and Systems, Deputy Director of the Institute of Magistracy, Post-Graduate and Doctor degree of Vinnytsia National Technical was honored with the award of the President of Ukraine “For the humanitarian participation in the anti-terrorist operation”
On the International Volunteer Day, 20 volunteers were awarded with honors from the President of Ukraine for humanitarian participation in the antiterrorist operation. Svitlana Bevz is among them.
Svitlana and her husband Serhii Burbelo, a candidate of technical sciences, the team leader at PJSC “Vinnytsiaoblenergo”, and legendary shepherd Badi are returning to the ATO area carrying out humanitarian aid to fighters and children in Donetsk and Luhansk region.
Svitlana and Serhii fought in the battalion “Aidar”. They became volunteers in 2015, immediately after demobilization. They say,
“We organized a volunteer center at the university. Students and teachers have joined this movement. Since 2014 our canteen has been working as a small manufacturing plant for borshch production in vacuum packages. We supplied them with tones to the front. Our canteen bakes pies, makes dumplings. We also make stoves “bourgeois” at our university, teachers and students are involved in this process.
Now it's cold and soldiers ask us to bring thermounderwears, warm clothes, film and bags for dugouts. Military equipment remains in a high need. These are thermal imagers, night vision devices, binoculars, sights...”
