On April 17, a team of specialists from Western Ukraine conducted an information day and practical training “Horizon 2020: opportunities to participate in 2018-2020” at Vinnytsia National Technical University

The participants are VNTU, the National University “Lviv Polytechnic”, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Uzhgorod National University, Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas.


Information event was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

 

Welcoming the guests, Rector of VNTU, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Hrabko said,

 

“Getting to “Horizon 2020” is not so easy. The main stipulation is a personal contact between a domestic scientist and foreign scientist. Our today's guests are going to tell us how to overcome the path to “Horizon 2020” and how to interest foreign partners. And first of all, how the intellectual property not to lose but to give it a new impetus.”

 

Ivan Kulchytskyi, a coordinator of the National Contact Center “Information and Communication Technologies” from the National University “Lviv Polytechnic” presented “The programs of Horizont 2020 and the process of  European integration reforms of Ukraine in the field of science, technology and innovation”.

 

Halyna Lazko, a coordinator of the National Contact Center “Actions of Maria Curie for the development of skills, training and career” from the National University “Lviv Polytechnic” told about competitions in the field of  “Actions of Maria Sklodowska-Curie: stipulations of participation and financial aspects”.

 

Artur Voronych from Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas told in detail about competitions under the thematic program “Energy” in the working program for 2018-2020.

 

Taisiia Symochko from Uzhhorod University spoke about her current projects “Health” and “Food Safety”.


Oksana Zaremba from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv informed about the competitions in the areas of “Inclusive, Innovative and Smart Societies” and “Future and New Technologies”.


In general, the guests comprehensively presented the topics of competitions of the program “Horizon 2020” planned for 2018-2020.

 

Then there was a practical training, where the basic procedures for finding partners and preparing projects were explained.


The speakers were quite affordable for personal communication. A true and effective networkking within Vinnytsia has been held. The working day resulted in mutual benefit.
