  At the turn of 2015 most of all I wish you peace! Peace for our country, each family, each home! Without these wishes other ones will have no sense   Dear employees and students of the university! In a few days the year 2014 will be history, the year that was mixed and difficult for every Ukrainian, the year when events happened in the life each of us due to which the year will be remembered for a lifetime.   At the turn of 2015 most of all I wish you peace! Peace for our country, each family, each home! Without these wishes other ones will have no sense.   History again puts us in front of the huge challenges. And multinational Ukrainian people - friendly and tolerant - heroically defends its right to peace and prosperity, unity and social harmony, morality and spirituality.   The year has been difficult for all of us but responsible and fruitful: research, training and educational activities at the university were carried out professionally, with enthusiasm and yielded positive results.

VNTU IS INCREASINGLY COOPERATING WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF NORDLAND (THE KINGDOM OF NORWAY)

  The agreement on increased cooperation was signed by Volodymyr Hrabko, Rector of Vinnytsia National Technical University during his visit to the most northern European country and Pål Pedersen, Rector of the University of Nordland The agreement was signed at the Conference “Norwegian-Ukrainian cooperation in education and business” in Bodø on December 9.   In addition to VNTU the Conference was attended by other 11 Ukrainian universities. The Ukrainian delegation negotiated on further cooperation in the field of education between Norway and Ukraine.   Professor Yurii Buriennikov, Director of the Institute of Machine Building and Transport of VNTU also represented our university at the Conference in Norway.   Vinnitsa National Technical University is a partner of the project “UKRAINE –NORWAY” in Ukraine, which is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway.

THE FIRST CENTER OF POLISH CULTURE IN PODILLIA WAS OPENED IN VNTU

  The red ribbon was cut by Henryk Litwin, Ambassador of Poland to Ukraine, Kzysztof Sviderek, Consul General of Poland in Vinnytsia and Volodymyr Hrabko, Rector of Vinnitsa National Technical University   Details on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine   Information portal “My Vinnytsia”   The Centre of Polish culture in VNTU is dedicated to Ignacy Jan Paderewski. This outstanding Polish pianist, conductor, composer, philanthropist, politician was born in Vinnytsia region, in the village of Kurylivka of Khmilnytskyi district. Jan Paderewski was the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland in 1919.   So, along with the Center the exhibition that tells about the life and work of Ignacy Paderewski was opened. The exhibition arrived to VNTU directly from Brussels where it was exhibited at the headquarters of the European Union.

А SOPHOMORE OF VNTU GOT 5 000 UAH FOR THE ROBOT-SCOUT

  Dmytro Kryvyi, a sophomore of VNTU got 5 000 UAH Grant from the Presidential Fund of Leonid Kuchma   World Service “Ukrainian Television and Radio Broadcasting”   The Presidential Fund “Ukraine” congratulated the winners of Ukrainian competitions of innovative projects “Sikorsky Challenge” and “Intel-Techno Ukraine 2014”.   The main goal of the competition is to unite scientists and business in order to run innovative projects of young developers. For the Presidential Fund “Ukraine” it is not less important that young inventors implement their intellectual potential in this country. Therefore, the winners of the competition were given allocated funds to continue their researches.   Dmytro Kryvyi, a sophomore of the Institute of Information Technologies and Computer Engineering of VNTU (the field of studying is “Computer Engineering”, group 2CE-13b) received 5 000 UAH Grant from the Presidential Fund of Leonid Kuchma on the development of his projects.

  The competition “Mr. Charm of VNTU” dedicated to the Day of Defender of the Motherland was held at the university       The competitors had to pass 5 tests. They got their first scores for a patriotic image of Cossacks consisting of a video presentation prepared in advance and a representation. All participants received the highest scores from the jury.   But in the second contest “Presentation” scores slightly changed the situation. Here Vitalii Pryimuk (the Institute of Power Engineering and Electromechanics) got the highest score.   In the intellectual contest the participants had to answer tricky questions of the erudite and PhD, Associate Professor Anatolii Tekliuk. Though the contestants feared this test most of all they coped very nicely.  The brightest answers were given by Yurii Sydorchuk (the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Cybernetics) and Vladyslav Shevchenko (the Institute of Civil Engineering, Thermal Power Engineering and Gas Supply).

FLASHMOB “LET'S SING THE ANTHEM OF UKRAINE” IN THE SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL LIBRARY OF VNTU

  Patriotic musical flashmob “Let's sing the anthem of Ukraine” dedicated to the Day of Armed Forces of Ukraine took place in Vinnytsia.   Details on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine       On December 5 at 13.25 for the first time in Vinnytsia Ukrainian anthem sounded simultaneously in all the squares, streets, shopping and entertainment centers and higher educational institutions.   Flashmob participants took video which then will be mounted and sent into the area of the anti-terrorist operation.   Scientific and technical library staff and students of Vinnytsia National Technical University joined the patriotic action.   At the Department of social and humanitarian literature exactly at 13.25 students and the library staff together with the whole Vinnytsia sang one of the main State symbols of our country − the national anthem of Ukraine.   For more informatoin see the website of the Online Press Center of VNTU

VNTU Team “VINS” is the WINNER of the 21st Championship of KVN League “Vinny(tsia) Puh” (“Winnie (this) Pooh”)

  PhD, Associate Professor Anatolii Tekliuk helped “VINS –Vam I Ne Snylosia” (You Can Hardly Dream of) get Grand prize 2014   The 21st Championship of KVN (Club of the Cheerful and Smart) League “Vinny(tsia) Puh” (“Winnie (this) Pooh”) announced its winners. This League is not only the oldest on the planet, but the only one that holds its competitions more than two decades according to the system of real championship. During the year teams in Vinnytsia initially meet each other in four rounds. Thus, due to the win rating in each game the Super Final participants are announced. This season for the first time during the League existence five teams instead of traditional three-four teams appeared on the stage at once.

PROFESSOR VASYL PETRUK IS HONOURED ENVIRONMENTALIST OF UKRAINE

  Vasyl PETRUK — Director of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Cybernetics — is awarded with "Honoured Environmentalist of Ukraine" on December 1, with the Decree of the President of Ukraine   He is awarded for the considerable personal contribution to the social and economic, scientific and technical, cultural and educational development of Ukraine.   This is stated in the Decree of the President of Ukraine №900 / 2014 "State awards of Ukraine on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the Act of Independence of Ukraine on December 1, 1991".

TWO HUNDRED WEB-WINS IN 2014

  Students of the Vinnytsia National Technical University only this year won nearly 200 prizes in international competitions in computer graphics and web design. It's more than students of all universities of Ukraine who received awards at such competitions Details on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine   There are reasons for optimism and for future perspectives - as for this year's winning multiply mainly junior students. And especially in the Russian Federation. These web-contests are: "Digital Wind", which is held by the Saratov State Technical University; IT-Arhangelsk; "University IT-spring" (Orenburg) "Digital pastel" (Omsk); "Workshop - 2014" (Magnitogorsk); "Digital Space 2014" (Toliatti); "Star Project" (Moscow) and others. There are triumphant appearances at "Creativity without borders" - Haskovo 2014 (Bulgaria), «Middle East» (Dubai, UAE).
