On May 17-19, All-Ukrainian Scientific and Technical Conference “Actual Problems of Designing, Manufacturing and Exploiting Weapons and Military Equipment” was held at Vinnytsia National Technical University.   Educational portal PedPRESA Information portal “My Vinnytsia”   The Forum was attended by representatives of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, directors of the plants of the Concern “Ukroboronprom”, heads of educational and scientific institutions of military and civilian fields. In particular, there were Deputy Head of the Central Research Institute of weapons and military equipment of the Armed Forces, Colonel Vadyslav Sotnyk, Director of the State Enterprise “Kharkiv Plant of Special Machines” Oleksii Horobets, Director of the State Enterprise “Kharkiv Mechanical Plant” Liudmyla Yatsenko, Technical Advisor of the Chief of State scientific production Union “Fort” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Bokovoi.

On May 12 the celebrations on the occasion of graduating from the retraining courses by retired military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their families according to the project “UKRAINE-NORWAY” of the International Fund for Social Adaptation were held at Vinnytsia National Technical University   Information portal “My Vinnytsia” Educational portal PedPRESA Newspaper “Misto” Each student received international diplomas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of Norway as well as a joint diploma the University NORD (Bodø, Norway) and VNTU.   Diplomas were presented to the project participants by the Rector of VNTU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Hrabko and President of the international charitable foundation for social adaptation Volodymyr Rubtsov.   It is IFSA that takes care of the international project “UKRAINE-NORWAY” funded by the Kingdom of Norway. This project is the biggest Ukrainian-Norwegian project.

  Iryna Shkaruputa, a student of the Institute of Ecological Safety and Environmental Monitoring of Vinnytsia National Technical University, became the bronze medalist of the Powerlifting World Championship, which took place in Chicago (the USA) on April 22-23   Educational portal PedPRESA   Member of the Ukrainian national team, 22-year-old Iryna Shkaruputa from Vinnytsia competed among juniors in the weight category up to 52 kg.   Iryna Shkaruputa won the third place in the world and received a bronze medal.   World champion and world record holder in powerlifting, Ivan Chuprynko from Nemyriv is the coach of the winner who taught her to control emotions partly because they don't allow to achieve what is possible.   Due to the medals won, the Ukrainian team ranked second in the world.   Iryna Shkaruputa has professionally been engaged in powerlifting only for four years. She chose this sport to be strong and original.

A team of students of the Faculty of information technology and computer engineering of VNTU consisting of Stanislav Tkach, Oleksandr Rypiuk, Roman Kavun and Olena Dazhura won the 2nd place in the Mobile Development category of Hackathon Int20h. It is a competition for specialists in the sphere of IT, in which participants are intensively working on tasks in non-stop mode for 20 hours. This eventhas been opening new opportunities and horizons for students of the best universities of Ukraine since 2014.   The goal of hackathon: bring together people with different experiences who seek to realize their ideas and express themselves in non-standard conditions of 20-hour encoding; establish a rapport between students and leading companies; get useful and creative software products.   The organizer of the hackathon is an international student organization BEST (Board of European Students of Technology) in Kyiv.

The final second stage of Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the specialty “Automation and Computer Integrated Technologies” – ACIT-2017 was held at Vinnytsia National Technical University on April 12-14.   Educational portal PedPRESA Information portal Vinnytsia ОК     Winners of the qualifying competitions, which were held at 22 universities of Ukraine, ─ masters and bachelors who study the specialty “Automation and Computer Integrated Technologies” and related specialties competed in Vinnytsia.   Totaly 72 participants with their supervisors and coachers arrived to Vinnytsia.   The Faculty of Computer Systems and Automation of VNTU has been holding such competitions since 2000.

For the ninth time best students in radio engineering of Ukraine have visited the hospitable city of Vinnytsia in order to demonstrate their best knowledge and skills in this field of knowledge.   Educational portal PedPRESA Information portal “My Vinnytsia” Information portal Vinnytsia ОК Vinnytsia National Technical University (http://vntu.edu.ua/) is the basic higher educational institution for organizing and holding the Olympiad.   On April 4-7, the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Radio Engineering (VSORT-2017) took place in Vinnytsia.   The best students and masters from 16 higher educational institutions of Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Odesa, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi competed for the title of the strongest in this field. The Grand opening was held on April 5.

Master of Sports Vira Ovcharuk, lecturer of Physical Education of VNTU won the 3rd place in absolute standings among women at the VII Nova Poshta Kyiv Half Marathon 2017 and won a silver medal at the Ukrainian Half Marathon Championship   Information portal “My Vinnytsia” Information portal Vinnytsia ОК   VII Kiev International half marathon Nova Poshta Kyiv Half Marathon 2017 was held on April 9.   The participants of the race were representatives from 48 countries of the world.   9,000 participants from children to professional athletes ran distances from 21 kilometers to 500 meters. Professional athletes were invited because Kyiv Half Marathon has plans to go to the next level.   For the first time a family race for 2 km was held at Kyiv Half Marathon.   For the first time 43 bands supported athletes along all the distance during a mass race in Kyiv. Music of the countries represented at the song contest “Eurovision-2017” sounded along the entire route every 500 meters.

Coordinator of the EU information center in Vinnytsia, Associate Professor of Philosophy and Humanities of VNTU Iryna Holovashenko participated the annual meeting of coordinators of the European Union Information Centers in Ukraine. The key point of the event was the communication with the Head of the EU delegation in Ukraine, Ambassador Hugues Mingarelli   Educational portal PedPRESA On March 29-30, the annual meeting of coordinators of the European Union Information centers in Ukraine was held in Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko. Coordinator of the EU information center in Vinnytsia, Associate Professor of Philosophy and Humanities of VNTU Iryna Holovashenko participated the meeting.   Potential areas of cooperation and joint activities of Information Centres and Offices of the European Union were discussed at the meeting.

  On April 1, a hundred of cyclists and a cat were ecouraged to such a serious action by activists of the student self-government of Vinnytsia National Technical University   Educational portal портал PedPRESA “VNTU Bikedraiv” started from the University main building and then went 19 kilometers along Vinnytsia with the state flag and the flag of the university.   Vinnytsia police patrol accompanied the race. And Vinnytsia City Council and in particular Deputy City Council Vadym Kudìiarov supported the race.   Head of the student self-government of VNTU Mykola Kobysia says that the bike race was organized to popularize a healthy lifestyle among students.   There will be two more bike races in Vinnytsia in April:   On April 7 – a bike ride dedicated to the Day of physical culture and sports, On April 28 – critical mass “Peace. Labor. May”

This intelligent and interesting work attracts a lot of young people, and IT companies are keen to replenish their ranks with smart and talented youth. So, it is not a surprise that the most popular international student contest is ISRS (International Collegiate Programming Contest), which has been held under the auspices of the world computer association ACM (Association for Computer Machinery) for 41times.   The first step to the World Cup in 2017 was the first stage of all-Ukrainian Collegiate Programming Contest, which was held as 1/8 Final International Collegiate Programming Contest at 35 basic state universities in all regional centers of Ukraine on March 25.
