Two students of VNTU ─ Ivan Vorobiov elected as a participant, and I, Kseniia Ivchenko, invited as a co-organizer ─ got at the course “Build a bridge, get over it!”, which is held by BEST. Educational courses are annually held in 95 universities of Europe, which work as local branches of BEST. BEST (Board of European Students of Technology) is the Council of students of European technical universities, a youth, non-profit, non-political, international organization consisting of 33 countries and growing rapidly.   In Vinnytsia BEST we annually hold a similar course, so it was interesting to see from the inside how such courses are held in other centers.   Ivan Vorobiov tells:   “To act as a student of the true European university is a valuable experience, which, in my opinion, each Ukrainian student dreaming to try something new should adopt. Owing to the educational courses from BEST, such a dream becomes a reality.   Most of all I was impressed by the teachers’ approach to the educational process.

  The Department of Metrology and Industrial Automation of Vinnytsia National Technical University has opened its branch in the media corporation RIA   Information portal “My Vinnytsia” Rector of Vinnytsia National Technical University, PhD, Professor Volodymyr Hrabko and graduate of VNTU, now President of the corporation RIA Oleksandr Chovhan signed an agreement on establishing the branch.   For the first time in Ukraine the Department of MIA opened the specialization “Engineering of product quality”. And for the first time in Ukraine it began to train specialists who are able to perform the job functions of CEO —Chief Executive Officer.   “Together with the Department of Metrology and Industrial Automation we will train practical skills and knowledge to students who want to be testers of software and Web analytics working with data arrays. They are cool professions, look for at work.ua, where the salary is from 20,000 UAH,” said President Oleksandr Chovhan.

  On October 12-17 the delegation of Vinnytsia National Technical University consisting of Vice-Rector for Scientific Work, professor Serhii Pavlov, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical work in the educational process, Associate Professor Anna Pyskliarova, and Head of the Department of manager training, Professor Olena Moroz visited Tianjin University of Technology and Hebei Sino-European industrial park   Educational portal PedPRESA Information portal “My Vinnytsia”   Vice-Rector for Scientific Work, PhD, Professor Serhii Pavlov tells more about the trip:   — Representatives of the University were invited to the 60th anniversary of Hebei Sino-European industrial park. — In 1957 Cangzhou Zhongljie high-tech industrial zone was established with the help of Czech Republic and Slovakia.

  The cultural, artistic and educational center of VNTU has opened an exhibition of student works in computer graphics “Infinity of creative space”   The exhibition has presented student works of the Studio of computer graphics of Vinnytsia National Technical University. There are works in raster and vector graphics, graphic collages and 3D-graphics.   The Studio of computer graphics was opened in 2009. Since then the studio received over 2000 (!!!) victories at international competitions and Olympiads. Students, the winners of international competitions, Anton Yashchuk, Dmytro Shchelkanov, Oleh Dosuzhii, Vadym Varlamov, Vladyslav Bilyk, Dmytro Hedz, Vladyslav Hroniuk, Viktor Frolov, and Serhii Koval(Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Engineering) teach classes on the courses.   The work of the Studio is aimed at the development of talented youth of Vinnytsia region. In addition, the Studio has an important social mission.

  Serhii Morhunov, the Mayor of Vinnytsia visited Vinnytsia National Technical University where he got acquainted with inventions of the university scientists He met with a young scientist who participated in the development and implementation of SCADA system, the common project with Swiss partners in energy efficiency. This system allows a boiler automatically control the parameters of a coolant, which is served into individual heating units of houses, and read all the information.   By the way, the specialists of our University have other developments in this field, in particular, controllers that can be applied in institutions of the social sphere to compare indicators of energy consumption, quickly detect gusts of pipelines or leakages of networks. It was agreed with Volodymyr Hrabko, the Rector of VNTU to test this development in several educational institutions.   Serhii Morhunov was also interested in another development, the control panel for new Vinnytsia trams.

  The team of Vinnytsia National Technical University represented Ukraine at the World Cup of Enactus, which was held in Toronto, Canada.   This is already the fourth time the team Enactus of VNTU has reached such a high level of these prestigious competitions and become the winner of all-Ukrainian championship and participated in ENACTUS WORLD CUP.   In season 2010-2011 the students of VNTU defended the honor of the country at the World Cup in Malaysia for the first time. The following year they went  to Washington to take part in these global competitions. In season 2012-2013 they visited the city of Cancun, Mexico.   This year at Enactus World Cup in Toronto there have been representatives from 32 countries. The team of VNTU got into the 2nd League and won the 3rd place there.   The proponent of creation of the team Enactus of VNTU and its constant mentor is the Dean of the Faculty of Management, Professor Mykola Nebava.

  The competitions of the Ukrainian site of the semi-final of the Student Championship in programming АСМ-ІСРС for the South-Eastern Europe, which were carried out in parallel with competition at Bucharest site of this semi-final were held in VNTU   Education portal PedPPESA   Information portal “My Vinnytsia” Fourty-four teams from Bulgaria, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Turkey took part in the competitions in Bucharest.   So, 87 teams from 6 countries of the South Eastern Europe took part in the World Cup semi-final.   The greatest number of problems in the shortest time was solved by the teams of Lviv National University named after I. Franko, Uzhhorod National University and Kyiv University named after Taras Shevchenko. Therefore, they will be performing on May 2017 at the world final, which will be held in Rapid City, South Dakota, United States.

  The semi-final of student Championship of the world in programming АСМ-ІСРС for the South-Eastern Europe (SEERC) has started in Vinnytsia National Technical University   As usually this world semi-final of student sports programming has taken place at two sites simultaneously: in Vinnytsia National Technical University and Bucharest Polytechnic University (Romania).   "I'm pleased the semifinal of the World Championship in programming takes place in Vinnytsia. I hope that in 2022 the world final championship in programming will be held in Vinnytsia, at  VNTU,” said Vinnytsia Mayor Serhii Morhunov welcoming the most talented students-programmers of Ukraine,.   The Rector of VNTU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Hrabko also welcomed the members of the world semifinal:   "I wish you all become winners — winners over youselves and show your best results in competition.

  On October 21-23, the semi-final of the World Student Championship in programming АСМ-ІСРС for the South-Eastern Europe (SEERC) was held in Vinnytsia National Technical University The semi-final was held simultaneously at two sites: in Vinnytsia National Technical University and Bucharest Polytechnic University, where about 50 teams from 6 countries ─ Bulgaria, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine participated.   Vinnytsia brought together 46 best Ukrainian teams (136 students), which won the right to participate in the world semi-final in 2 previous phases of the National Olympiad, in which 726 commands (2178 students) took part. Among the best teams of Ukraine there are four Vinnytsya ones ─ three teams from VNTU and one team from Donetsk National University.

  On October 15, Viktor Pinchuk Foundation started an open competitive selection of participants of the support program for talented youth of the scholarship program “Zavtra.UA” The Foundation invites full-time students of the 3rd-6th years of studying of Ukrainian higher educational establishments of the 4-th level of accreditation to participate in the open competition.
