Volodymyr Hrabko, Rector of Vinnytsia National Technical University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, has been awarded by Petro Poroshenko with Honors of the President of Ukraine – the Jubilee Medal "25 years of the Independence of Ukraine» The decree is published on the website of the President.   The head of one of the leading technical universities of Ukraine, Professor Volodymyr Hrabko has been awarded with the Medal for "significant personal merits in the development of independent Ukraine, diligent and impeccable service to the Ukrainian people".

  A partner meeting of participants of the innovation system "Sikorsky Challenge" http://www.sikorskychallenge.com/ , Transfotech Global Development Group, representative offices of diplomatic missions accredited in Ukraine, the fund "Horizon Capital", WNISEF, Miratech Company and other well-known business companies was held in the NTUU "KPI     The delegation of Vinnytsia National Technical University headed by the Rector, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Hrabko was  invited to the meeting. Participants of the meeting visited the scientific and technical library named after I. Denysenko, Center of culture and arts of NTUU "KPI", where the actions of the Ukrainian Festival of innovative projects "Sikorsky Challenge" are held, acquainted with the Alley of the outstanding Ukrainian scientists, and also visited the State Polytechnic Museum of NTUU "KPI".

  The team from Vinnytsia National Technical University will represent Ukraine at Enactus World Cup that will be held on September 28-30 in Toronto, Canada   The team from Vinnytsia National Technical University has already reached such a high level of these prestigious competitions for the fourth time and has become the winner of all-Ukrainian championship. Therefore, it will participate in ENACTUS WORLD CUP.   In 2010-2011 VNTU students defended the honor of the country at the World Cup in Malaysia for the first time. The following year, they took part in these global competitions in Washington.   Vinnytsia National Technical University won the second place at the national final of the International Student Olympiad in information technologies ІТ-Universe   For the decisive contest over 120 students from more than 40 educational institutions were invited.   Six students from the Department of Software of VNTU represented our University in the final.   Mentors of the students from VNTU were teachers of the Department of Software: the first Vice-Rector of VNTU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Oleksandr Romaniuk and Candidate of Technical Sciences, Assistant Professor Olena Kovalenko.   Illia Malinich won the 2nd place in the nomination “Project Management”.   Mariia Polova won the victory in the category “Features of IT-Project Management”.   Kostiantyn Martynenko won the victory in the category “Risk Management of IT-Projects”.   Illia Malinich won the 2nd place in the nomination “Linux Administration”.

  Our Vinnytsia National Technical University is on the 25th position among 200 higher educational institutions in the country   Information portal “My Vinnytsia”   Last year VNTU was on the 28th position, the year before it had been on the 30th position in this ranking.   The centre for International Projects “Euroosvita” (“Eurostudy”) in partnership with the international team of experts presented the Jubilee ─ the 10th academic ranking of higher educational institutions of Ukraine “Top-200 Ukraine”.   In 2016, the sole leader in the ranking “Top-200 Ukraine” became the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.   It should note Vinnytsia National Medical University named after M.I. Pyrogov is on the 29th position in this ranking. VNMU has kept its last year's position.   As well as Vinnytsia National Agrarian University, VNAU is the 129th today like it was last year.   Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University named after Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi is 162nd. Last year it was the 165th.

  Vitalii Ohorodnikov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Head of a department of Vinnytsia National Technical University, has been awarded with the title “Honored Worker of Science and Technology” by the Decree of the President of Ukraine this year.   On May 29, Vitalii Ohorodnikov celebrates his 75-year anniversary.   Professor Ohorodnikov made the criterion that determines the resource of metal plasticity.   All material things are not infinite. Vinnytsia scientist is able to reliably predict which deformations metals can withstand, and which deformations destroy them. It can be calculated with high accuracy by the formula which has derived Vitalii Ohorodnikov.   The created theory can be applied to humans. The value of the exhausting resource of health both physical and mental is logically calculated by this formula and displayed on the Cartesian coordinate system.   Vitalii Ohorodnikov defended his doctoral thesis when he was 39.

A graduate of VNTU Oleksandr Butkaliuk as a member of the Ukrainian team MarsHopper has become the winner of the largest hackathon from NASA – SpaceApps Challenge   The project had passed the selection in the local Ukrainian hackathon having won in two categories before it won in the world competition. Then it was selected among 128 teams from different countries and got to the top five finalists, where it has already been voted by users from around the world.   “Mars Hopper uses a resource of another planet for its own needs and somehow comes close to a living creature,” says engineer Oleksandr Butkaliuk.   Mars Hopper is a prototype of an unmanned automated aircraft that is powered with dry ice the so-called frozen carbon dioxide, which generously covers the poles of Mars in winter.   The only guaranteed result of the victory in the competition is that the authors of the development were invited to the John F. Kennedy Space Center in the United States, where they will be able to see the next space launch.

  On May 17-22, the delegation of Vinnytsia National Technical University — Rector Volodymyr Hrabko and Vice-Rector Serhii Pavlov — visited Hebei Province and the city Tianjin (China)   Olena Shembel, Professor of the Ukrainian State Chemical Technology University was also a member of the Ukrainian delegation.   The Ukrainian delegation took part in the opening ceremony of the Chinese-Ukrainian Center of advanced and applied innovative technologies on the basis of scientific and technical company Rensenzeer (Hebei province) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.   While visiting China, Rector Volodymyr Hrabko acquainted the Chinese partners with the achievements of Vinnytsia National Technical University in the area of science and education.   Ukrainian scientists have also concluded an agreement on cooperation concerning science and education with Hebei University of Engineering (city Handan) and the Agricultural University of Hebei (city Baoding).

  Oleksandr Vdovychenko, Assistant Professor of the Department of Automobiles and Transport Management of Vinnytsia National Technical University has collected a unique collection consisting of almost four thousand car models. All of them are in the international collection scale 1:43   This collection has been the Museum of car models ─ the only in Ukraine so far. It was opened in the center of Vinnytsia near the light-sound Fountain Roshen.   Collectible car models are exact copies of real cars. Externally they are like toys, however, they contain a lot of information about their prototypes.   Just this year Oleksandr Vdovychenko’s hobby is fourty years old. Finally, it has become a matter of life as he has been teaching students at his alma mater for 20 years.   Students always watch these car models with great enthusiasm and  willingly attend lessons of Vdovychenko.
