Our Vinnytsia National Technical University is on the 28th position among 200 higher educational institutions in the country   The centre for International Projects “Euroosvita” (“Eurostudy”) in partnership with the international team of experts presented the 9th academic ranking of higher educational institutions of Ukraine “Top- 200 Ukraine”.   The overall index is represented by three components: quality of scientific and pedagogical potential, quality of education and international recognition.   National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and Kyiv National University named after Shevchenko are at the forefront of Ukrainian universities. The second International Contest of the best works on computer monitoring of the environment of Ukraine among pupils and students finished in Vinnytsia National Technical University on 22nd May ─ on the International Day of Biodiversity   Details on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine The contest has already been held in VNTU for the fifth time. Last year it was held at the international level, the previous years it had a regional status.   Fifty-two works from nine regions of Ukraine (Kyiv and Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Chernihiv, Sumy regions) were submitted for the contest.  Pupils produced twelve works and 40 ones were of students. There is one participant from Ecuador.

  The international round table meeting “Decentralization in Ukraine: government and public partnership” was held in Vinnytsia National Technical University. Online forum broadcast was held on the site of VNTU   The round table meeting was organized by Vinnytsia Regional Council, regional administration, Vinnytsia regional association of local authorities, Vinnytsia regional organization of the International Organization “Ukraine-Poland-Germany”, Euroregion “Dnister”, the Office of the Council of Europe in Ukraine.   The Rector of Vinnytsia National Technical University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Hrabko and leaders of the region greeted the participants.

  The team of Vinnytsia National Technical University ─ students Mykhailo Hranik, Oleh Morfiianets, Yurii Shmerchuk (coach – Professor Volodymyr Mesiura) ─ won the first place among technical universities   The first stage of all-Ukrainian Student Contest in programming was held in Vinnytsia National Technical University. The Contest has a status of 1/8 World Championship (regional level) and is held simultaneously in 32 basic higher education institutions of Ukraine.   This Contest has the largest number of participants and motivates students to develop their professional level. The advantage of this Contest is to discipline and to teach to work effectively in a team, which is very important for programmers.   The Contest in VNTU was attended by 56 teams.   It took 5 hours to hold the Contest. The teams consisted of 3 members were offered 14 tasks of various levels of complexity providing the opportunity to compete to teams from various universities.

  Head of the Department of Philosophy and Humanities of VNTU, Ph.D., Professor Oleh Khoma was awarded with the prize of H. Skovoroda for the best translation of the book “Meditations” of Descartes in the Mirror of Modern Interpretations... ” from French into Ukrainian, which was published by the “Spirit and Letter”   Head of the Department of Philosophy and Humanities of VNTU, Ph.D., Professor Oleh Khoma was awarded with the prize of H.Skovoroda for the best translation of the book “Meditations” of Descartes in the Mirror of Modern Interpretations: Jean-Mari Beysad, Jean-Luc Marion, Kim Sun On-Wang-Kun” from French into Ukrainian, which was published by the “Spirit and Letter” with the support of French Institute and the Embassy of France in Ukraine.   Mr Khoma says:   "The official release of the award “Skovoroda”, which has recently been awarded to the book “Meditations” of Descartes in the Mirror of Modern Interpretations...

  A letter to the dean of Faculty of Information Technologies and Computer Engineering, Doctor of technical sciences, Professor Oleksii Azarov from the graduate of the Department of Computer Sciences, an employee of Intel (the United States of America), Oleksandr Marchuk   Good morning, dear Oleksii Dmytrovych!   My whole family and I have recently been in Ukraine, in Lityn   This year our groupmates have had a meeting in the honor of 10 years after graduation the University. In the United States I’ve had different jobs but I’ve long been interested in Intel.   Now I work for Intel. There’re two Russian-speaking employees in the department where I’ve been working. By the way, I'm the youngest in the team.   Somehow I'll write about the laboratory and the prototypes that we test in more detail. Now they are Intel Skylake tablets with processors i7 of the 6th generation.   Give my best regards to the Department of Computer Sciences.

  IX Vekua Cup was simultaneously held in Tbilisi, Vinnytsia, Kharkiv, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk. Vekua Cup consists of two stages ─ personal and team. The Ukrainian site winner is the team of VNTU _ [wRabbits]   Although the activity of academician Ilya Vekua historically took place in Georgia and Russia, the most active participants of the competition in addition to the representatives of these countries became the Ukrainian participants.   The students of Vinnytsia National Technical University have the best results among Ukrainian students in personal competitions of Vekua Cup! Unfortunately, the success of Ukrainian students is more modest in team competitions.   Trips to Batumi, Kutaisi and Tbilisi, where Vekua Cup was held other years, were very bright events. Unfortunately, now it has become difficult both organizationally and financially. So, in oder not to lose the Ukrainian participants Vekua Cup organizers decided to create The Cup sites in Ukraine.

  In Vinnytsia National Technical University the Career Fair has been held for the fifth time. European student organization BEST (Board of European Students of Technology – the Council of students of technical universities in Europe) has been the organizer of the Fair-2015.   The main aim of the Career Fair is to establish an interaction between students and corporations, to introduce young professionals to potential employers and to solve the issue of youth employment. This is a great chance for companies to find promising and highly qualified specialists who are full of strength, energy and knowledge to work and break down the stereotypes of the unreality of being employed in their specialty.   The Career Fair is a unique opportunity for students to demonstrate their talent, high skills and knowledge in their field. During the Fair everyone had the opportunity to fill in questionnaire- resumes in the program specially created for this event, which were immediately transferred to partner companies.

  In Vinnytsia National Technical University the final stage of all-Ukrainian radio engineering student contest was held for the seventh time on April 7 – 10   This year the Organizing Committee received 49 questionnaires of participants from 15 higher educational establishments of Ukraine.   The competition took place in two stages ‒ theoretical (primary) and practical (out-of-competition). The theoretical stage included a task in the main subjects of the direction of specialist training “Radio engineering”.   The practical part demonstrated the ability of the participants to perform a task on the same element base quickly. For 100 minutes the contestants divided into teams had to design and program a running electronic clock on the Arduino platform.
