Kaggle, the world-famous platform for competitions in artificial intelligence, system analysis and predictive modeling (AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Data Mining, etc.), has completed its regular Kaggle technology training competitions. The prize fund of some competitions reaches $1.5 million.   Halyna Bohachuk, a student of the first year of the Master’s course at the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Engineering, has won a grant and went to study at Linnaeus University under the Academic Mobility Program   Information portal “Vinnytsia Ok” Information portal “My Vinnytsia” “At the Faculty of Technology of Linnaeus University I will study subjects related to programming and modern technologies, for example, Algorithms and Advanced Data Structures, Operating Systems, Introduction to Web Programming, Problem Solving and Programming and, of course, in English.   On September 8, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with students of VNTU   Educational portal PedPRESA Taking part in the festivities on the occasion of the day of Vinnytsia, the President found time to chat with the winners of international contests on computer graphics and Web design — students of Vinnytsia National Technical University. Rector of the University, Doctor of technical sciences, Professor Volodymyr Hrabko also participated in the meeting.  Last year students of the University won 160 victories in such international competitions, 42 of them in foreign countries.   On June 3, Mykhailo Strelbytskyi was 69 and on June 8 he met with Eternity ... He was buried in his native village of Maidan-Verbetskyi, Letychiv district   Information portal “Vinnytsia Ok” Information portal “My Vinnytsia”   Mykhailo Strelbytskyi, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor, worked at the Department of Cultural Studies at VNTU since 1991. He didn’t limit himself only to lectures and seminars. For many years he directed the student literary association “Student Muse” and the column under the same in the university magazine “Impulse”. With his blessing, two collections of studio students' works, a collection of their poetry and criticism, and own books of poems by Oksana Barbak, Dmytro Shtofel, and Serhii Bilokhatniuk were published.   On May 25-27, the 25th International Olympiad Hard & Soft took place in Suceava (Romania), which VNTU students traditionally participated in     This Olympiad is interesting because it is a platform where students from different countries can try their hand at working on projects that closely combine the software and hardware. Within a week, teams consisting of 4 people having all the necessary equipment and components on their hands create their own project in accordance with the terms of the organizers. Tasks are selected in such a way to capture the latest achievements of the electronic industry.   The project's defense is public and evaluated by according to lots of criteria: work in the laboratory, functional readiness of the project, presentation, quality of the documentation provided. It is clear that knowledge of English is also important in the defense.

  Vinnytsia National Technical University is on the 25th place among 200 higher educational establishments of the country   The Center for International Projects “Euroeducation” in partnership with the international expert group IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence presented the next academic rating of the institutions of higher education “Top-200 Ukraine 2018” prepared according to the methodology completed and improved during 2006-2018.   While compiling this year's ranking, experts took into account the current trends in the development of universities defined by the IREG-9 Conference: “Ratings and Accreditation are Two Roads to One Goal” and the Conference of Ministers of Education of the European Higher Education Area.
