On the Vinnytsia National Technical University, from the first day of the war, refugee and army assistance center has been operating.

The coordinator of the center is Andriy Slabkyi, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Industrial Engineering.

Andrew notes that the experience of 2014 came in handy. Currently, the staff of VNTU raises funds for medicines, products, food for refugees, production of various equipment and more. Then it is all transferred to different parts of the state.
University students and stuff are constantly communicating with people in cities that have come under fire and bombing. Therefore, they are well aware of the needs on the ground, solve them, find and deliver to the destination everything needed.
During the first two weeks of the war, about 2,000 refugees were sheltered, and university dormitories were involved. Medicines are obtained even from abroad. They find transport themselves and so on. Many volunteers, teachers and students were involved. Their number exceeds a thousand people. Many patients are also placed, among them oncology. Five children with cancer are expected next Sunday.
They will be treated in our city center, and will live in dormitories of VNTU.
Different premises of the university now serve as a kind of production sites for the manufacture of various equipment. They take things, products, make nets, sort the collected and load on the road.
