Serhii Dovhalets, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor took part in the founding meeting of the participants of the international educational project ERASMUS + “Creating a modern master's degree program in the field of Information Systems” (MASTIS), which took place at the University of Lyon-2 (France)   The three-year project “Creating a modern master's degree program in the field of Information Systems” (MASTIS) is funded by the European Union according to the program ERASMUS+.   The meeting, which took place at the University of Lyon-2, was attended by representatives of universities participating in the project from Ukraine, France, Italy, Germany, Lithuania, Sweden, Norway, Liechtenstein, Slovenia, Montenegro, as well as representatives of the Association of Francophone Universities, which are associate partners of the project MASTIS.   Ukraine was represented by six universities with the active support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

  A Remote Research Olympiad in Radio Engineering is held for the second time. Students of vocational and secondary schools, who leave this year, and this year graduates of higher educational institutions of the I-II levels of accreditation of Vinnytsia region are invited to participate   Technical University and with the support of the Department of Education and Science of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration.   The Olympiad consists of two sections ─ theoretical and experimental.   Five students of the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Sciences have won prizes of the Ukrainian championship in Information Technology “Ecosoft -2016”   On February 23-25, the final of the ІІ stage of the ХV Nationwide Championship in Information Technology “Ecosoft-2016” and the national championship of the International Competition of Computer Projects “INFOMATRIX-2016” were held at the National Ecological Centre of students with the support of the leading IT-companies “Kaspersky Lab” and “Skyline Software” and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.   This year, for the first time the Championship was held under the new scheme, in the form of a public poster display with simultaneous electronic visualization of their own achievements.   Almost 140 participants presented 115 their copyrights of hardware and software developments for computer systems.

  Vinnytsia is the third city after Kyiv and Lviv where the presentation of the exhibition “The Tragic Scrolls of the Ukrainian Science” has been held. Since now this exhibition will remain at VNTU forever   The exhibition was presented by the author and project director Vasyl Shenderovskyi, Member of the Board of the Ukrainian legal organization “Memorial” named after Vasyl Stus, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Senior Researcher of the Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.   This exhibition is actually created from essays about famous Ukrainian scholars, cultural figures, which are published in three volumes “Let the world of science not to slake” by Vasyl Shenderovskyi.   The exhibition was prepared at the initiative of Stepan Kubiv, People's Deputy of Ukraine, Head of the “Memorial” named after Vasyl Stus. And it was presented with the support of the Art Fund named after Danylo King.

  The first joint programming competitions among students and professionals of Vinnytsia   On February 11, Paris office of Google first organized the international team championship on programming Нash Code ( https://hashcode.withgoogle.com/overview.html ) for professionals and students from Europe, Africa and the Middle East. More than 17 thousand participants consisting of about 5 thousand teams gathered at more than 360 sites in the semifinals of this competition to measure forces in the fight for a ticket to magical spring Paris, where the final round of Нash Code will be held on March 19.   The joint participation of professionals and students has created an opportunity to discover the strongest city professionals, to assess the relative level of the strongest students, to encourage students' interest in solving practical problems, to expand and strengthen relationships in the programming community.   Unfortunately, this year our expectations were not met.

  Mykhailo Kylymchuk, a sophomore of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Computer Engineering, dances at the University Studio DANCE EDEM. He has won “The Challenge. Ukrainian Dance Championships”   “The Challenge. Ukrainian Dance Championships” was held in Kyiv.   Mykhailo Kylymchuk, a sophomore of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Computer Engineering, was a participant of the Championship.   Mykhailo has been fond of dancing since childhood. He dances at the University Studio of contemporary dance DANCE EDEM.   At the Championsh Mykhailo passed two complex elections and came to the final, where he won the third place in category “Adult. Solo. Rising. JazzModern”.

  The trip of the volunteers of Vinnytsia National Technical University was during January 29 -February 5   The University volunteers visited 5 military units and 5 children's preschool and educational institutions (Druzhkivka orphanage boarding school, Novhorod boarding school, Dzerzhynsk boarding school, Kostiantynivsk boarding school, Kramatorsk baby house).   Concert programs were organized for soldiers and children.   Staff and students of Vinnytsia National Technical University had actively been preparing the trip. They prepared warm clothes, food, home canning, children's books, candy, knitted socks that our university watchmen personally weave for ATO soldiers, a stove made by the Department of increasing durability technology, homemade borsch in vacuum bags, cakes, muffins and pastries cooked by the staff of the University canteen.   The most active volunteers received the gratitude from soldier.

  A welcome imposing competition “Mr. Charm of VNTU” has been held     For the first time in the competition the task of the participants was to transform into a fictional character image. The audience watched the new role of favorite characters ─ Jimmy Neutron, the Emperor of Cuzco, Winnie the Pooh, James Bond, Carlson, Ostap Bender, Kyle Wren, a Servant of the people.   Another novelty was the improvisation competition. Vasyl Olenych and Oleksandr Morozov creatively approached this test simulating the situation of introduction to the girl’s parents for each of the participants.   Then it was the turn of creative competition...

  The unique works by an honoured master of Folk Art of Ukraine Mykhailo Masliuk are kept in the Museum of cultural arts center of VNTU       The memorial event dedicated to the outstanding mechanic, musician, poet, author of the original clocks, watches and musical instruments, photographer, master of microminiatures, honoured master of Folk Art of Ukraine Mykhailo Masliuk took place in the cultural arts center of VNTU.   Mykhailo Masliuk was born in Zhmerynka, Vinnytsia region on January 14, 1918.   During his life he created almost 500 micro masterpieces.   In 1968 his work – the steam locomotive that is 20 million times as small as a poppy seed – was included into the Guinness Book of World Records.   The microminiaturist from Zhmerynka not only shod a flea as Livsha did it but also tied her legs with a gold chain and locked with a tiny gold padlock.
