The head of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Safety of Vinnytsia National Technical University, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Vitalii Ishchenko has taken internship at Vienna Technical University (Austria) since November     Vitalii Ishchenko is training at the Institute for Water Quality, Resource and Waste Management.   The internship became possible thanks to the grant of the Austrian Agency for International Cooperation in Education and Science.   In Austria, Vitalii Ishchenko is carrying out the research on hazardous household waste components with the most state-of-the-art equipment and is acquainting with the local waste management system, which is one of the most effective in the world.

  Borys I. Mokin, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, People's Deputy of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR of the 12th convocation, People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 1st convocation, Advisor of the Prime Minister of Ukraine 2009-2010, Member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, Senior Member of the IEEE, Rector of VNTU 1989-2010, celebrated his diamond jubilee on January 3 Scientific and technical library of VNTU prepared biobiographical index about Borys I. During my study at the institute most of all I remembered two teachers, one of whom was Borys I. Mokin.

  Dean of the Faculty of Computer Systems and Automation of VNTU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Oleh Bisikalo and Candidate of technical sciences, senior lecturer of the Department of Automation and Information Measuring Devices Volodymyr Harmash participated in the regular working meeting of the MASTIS project of the Erasmus + programme of the EU in Kristiansand (Norway)   Information portal “Vinnytsia Ok”     The team of project partners was hosted by the Department of Information Systems University of Agder.   Representatives of six Ukrainian universities had a great opportunity to make sure that the current demand for modern information technology training for all sectors of the real economy and the prospects for the implementation of relevant educational programs in Ukraine have been evident.

  A traditional and favorite contest “Mr VNTU” was held at Vinnytsia National Technical University. There are no celebrations in VNTU without his participation, he likes to parody various famous personalities. He realizes that being an active person is his avocation.

  Svitlana Bevz, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Assistant Professor of the Department of Electrical Plants and Systems, Deputy Director of the Institute of Magistracy, Post-Graduate and Doctor degree of Vinnytsia National Technical was honored with the award of the President of Ukraine “For the humanitarian participation in the anti-terrorist operation”     On the International Volunteer Day, 20 volunteers were awarded with honors from the President of Ukraine for humanitarian participation in the antiterrorist operation. Svitlana Bevz is among them.   Svitlana and her husband Serhii Burbelo, a candidate of technical sciences, the team leader at PJSC “Vinnytsiaoblenergo”, and legendary shepherd Badi are returning to the ATO area carrying out humanitarian aid to fighters and children in Donetsk and Luhansk region.   Svitlana and Serhii fought in the battalion “Aidar”. They became volunteers in 2015, immediately after demobilization. They say,   “We organized a volunteer center at the university.

  A new project “Dancing with the Lecturers" was launched in Vinnytsia National Technical University.   The Department of Physical Education of Vinnytsia National Technical University has celebrated its half-century anniversary   Educational portal PedPRESA Information portal “Vinnytsia Ok” Information portal “My Vinnytsia”   People, thanks to whom the Department had been created, who multiplied and nurtured its glory, and whose part of life it is, came to congratulate it with its golden jubilee.   Rector of VNTU, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Hrabko highlighted in his congratulatory speech,   “There are a great number of candidates for masters of sports and masters of sports at the Department of Physical Education of Vinnytsia National Technical University. While I was a student, Rector of that time Kuzmin said, “We do not need sick engineers!” And the Department of Physical Education did its best to ensure that the Vinnytsia Polytechnic University trained not only skilled but also physically active engineers.

  In October a lightweight tactical vehicle designed at Vinnytsia National Technical University debuted at the International Exhibition Center in Kyiv, where the XIV International Specialized Exhibition “Weapons and Safety – 2017” was held     Educational portal PedPresa Information portal “My Vinnytsia” Information portal “Vinnytsia Ok”   A light tactical vehicle, LTV, was designed by scientists and students of VNTU in cooperation with experts of the company “Techimpex” on the order of one of the power structures of Ukraine. The work was carried out by scientists working in the educational and scientific center of development and maintenance of technical support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the head of which is Candidate of technical sciences, Associate Professor Leonid Koval.
